How to use Unix timestamp converter

Convert a Unix timestamp (seconds or milliseconds since 1 January 1970 UTC) to a readable date, or turn a date and time back into an epoch timestamp. The current timestamp updates live at the top.

How it works

  • Timestamps with 13 or more digits are treated as milliseconds; shorter values as seconds
  • Results show local time, UTC, ISO 8601, and relative time (for example “3 days ago”)
  • Dates can be entered in your local time zone or in UTC
