URL parser

How to use URL encode / decode

Percent-encode text for use in URLs and query strings, or decode encoded URLs back to readable text. The URL parser breaks any address into protocol, host, path, query parameters, and fragment.

Encoding modes

  • Component — encodes everything except letters, digits, and -_.!~*'(); use for query values
  • Full URL — keeps : / ? # & = so the URL still works
  • Form — like component but spaces become + (application/x-www-form-urlencoded)
