How to use Color blindness simulator

See how your images, designs and palettes look to people with color vision deficiency. About 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women have some form of color blindness.

Simulate an image

  • Protanopia / protanomaly (red), deuteranopia / deuteranomaly (green), tritanopia / tritanomaly (blue), and achromatopsia (no color)
  • Adjustable severity, a before/after slider, side-by-side, or every type at once
  • Download the simulated image as PNG

Check a palette

Paste your brand or chart colors to find pairs that become hard to tell apart for color-blind viewers — before your users find them.

Simulation uses the Machado, Oliveira and Fernandes (2009) model in linear RGB. Images are processed on your device.
