MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV — compressed on your device with hardware video encoding

How to use Video compressor

Compress videos to share on Discord, WhatsApp, or email, or just to save space. Your video is re-encoded on your own device using the browser's built-in, usually hardware-accelerated, video encoder. Nothing is uploaded.

  • Pick a quality level, or set a target file size such as 8 MB or 25 MB
  • Downscale to 1080p, 720p, 480p, or 360p, and cap the frame rate
  • MP4 (H.264) for maximum compatibility, or WebM (VP9) for smaller files
  • Optionally remove the audio

Needs a browser with WebCodecs: recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Long 4K videos can take a few minutes.
