How to use Color mixer

Mix two or more colors and see the result instantly. Unlike most color mixers that simply average RGB values, this one can mix like real paint: blue and yellow make green, not gray.

Mixing models

  • Paint / pigment — Kubelka–Munk mixing on spectral reflectance curves (via spectral.js), the way paints and inks combine
  • Perceptual light (OKLab) — smooth, even blends for digital design and gradients
  • Light / additive — how colored lights combine on a screen
  • Simple average — the classic sRGB average many tools use
  • Hue-preserving (OKLCH) — keeps blends vivid by rotating hue instead of passing through gray

Set the amount of each color in parts, add up to eight colors, and get a blend strip between the first two. Copy the result in any format or export the blend.
